Contract Negotiations
JR boasts 20 years of experience in contract negotiation totaling over $500 Million in professional contracts. Along with his partner, JR has represented over 50 NFL and MLB draft picks over the past six years. From rookies to veteran athletes, JR and his team focus on each individual client to develop a customized approach to maximize revenue. Through careful planning of the compensation for each year of the contract, an athlete’s career can be prolonged and the client left financially secure for the rest of his life.
Marketing & Endorsements
JR has an outstanding background and securing marketing and endorsements for all of his clients. In 2004, he worked with partner Peter Schaffer on the creation and development of Jesse Palmer as the Bachelor. He has negotiated a series of endorsements for Mike Patterson, Joe Thomas, Adam Jones and Hakeem Nicks. He has handled everything from television show deals, personal appearances, trading card deals and autograph signings. In addition, JR and his team work tirelessly to create a positive public image and desirable branding for all his clients. JR utilizes the services of his entire marketing team which extends across the country.
Draft Preparation
JR and his team have extensive experience preparing athletes for the NFL, MLB, and NBA draft process. Selecting a pre-draft training is one of the most crucial decisions that a prospect can make. We have utilized the services of training programs from all over the country. However, Derek Touchette’s TAP program in Naples, Florida has yielded outstanding results for us. Hakeem Nicks and Phil Taylor are just 2 of our clients who trained in Naples and were selected in the 1st round. The other key to successful draft preparation is tireless communication with scouts, personnel directors, coaches, and general managers. Whether it is the NFL, MLB, or NBA, there is no group with a greater contact directory than JR and his team. We have an outstanding track record of raising our clients’ draft stock and resulting in higher selections on draft day.
Post Career Counseling
JR and his team consider all clients lifetime members of our family. When your playing days are over, we work directly with our clients on a post playing career transition. Some of our clients have gone on to coach, become television or radio personalities, and start their own businesses. We provide all of the resources and expertise of our team to guide our clients in this process.
